A complex sale made simple
The Equity Release market has seen rapid growth in recent years and is set to continue to grow. The two main drivers for this growth are that many consumers reaching retirement age have not made adequate provision for their pensions and secondly that many people who do have adequate pensions, nonetheless would like to continue their lifestyle without the drop in income retirement usually brings.
There are many different equity release schemes which although they take longer to process than, for example, a mortgage, will reward the advisor who does work in this area. The trouble until now is having a system that will take the process from beginning to end and be orientated towards the requirements of the client and not a simple rate comparison.
Benefits-Driven Approach
What we term the ‘Benefits Driven Approach’ is that questions in the Fact Find or Lifestyle Questionnaire drive the sourcing in a unique way – matching the requirements of the client to the features required in the product with lowest cost being one of those considerations but primarily ensuring that the client receives a list of the products that suit their needs.
This model is aligned with the way that advice is judged with regard to how the selected product meets the needs and requirements of the client and the Lifestyle Questionnaire has guidance and explanatory notes for the advisor and the client to ensure both understand the process and product.
End-to-end system
Another key advantage in this system is that the it takes the sale from beginning to end and clearly shows which documents have been produced, when they were produced. Another thing that is great over a longer than average case period, the design will ensure that you stay on track every step of the way.
